The 'Home' button causes 'Please wait' to appear momentarily, then nothing. The 'Input Select' button will flash up a list of inputs for a moment then disappear again. The 'Options' button does appear to work as normal, though this effects the screen image, which is still completely black, no image. However, through 'Options' I can select 'Picture Mode', which will take me to a blue screen with further options. So, the TV can output more than just black. I fear it's shat itself, but I'm not sure.

Somehow we have a feeling that Philips at the very least might like to take issue with that statement, but we’ll let it ride for now. Not least because the 46Z4500 might actually live up to that promise!
