Tim Martin Mar 07, 2013 05:34PM PST Hello, I have a 2007 Specialzed FSR XC Comp bike. Unfortunately the rear shock has given up the fight for life and I am looking for a replacement model. The model that she is currently running is: X Fusion 02 RC Rear Shock I see that on a lot of websites this is a discontinued model and they no longer sell replacements. I have a race in 6 weeks time and I really need my bike up and running for this event if possible. Are there any shocks on the market currently that would be a direct replacement for this model and would fit straight into the rear bracket of a Specialized 2007 FSR XC Comp model? If so, where is the best place for me to find a dealer?

I've used some top quality shocks, one of the best air shocks around in the DHX5 air and this Xfusion number is quality. Okay, so its not technical and high tech like others but it works every time i jump on the bike. It's a really great little shock. I use my Norco as a freeride bike, so it's ridden hard and fast over everything and this little shock just takes it. Never had a problem with it internally. Rsu-2510-rv User Manual there. After about 30 miles of riding (with good cleaning between short rides) the shock started making some very interesting 'creaks' and other noises. Finally during one less than aggressive warm-up ride, the shock completely locked up about 2/3 through its travel and froze until I evacuated the air. Took it to LBS who sent it back to X-Fusion for warranty.
Got a new replacement and although no lock-ups, the shock doesn't seem very consistent with compression and rebound.
